Susan Brandeis is Distinguished Professor Emerita following a 35–year teaching and research career at North Carolina State University’s College of Design, where she is a member of the University’s Academy of Outstanding Teachers. She holds graduate degrees in Art Education and Textile Design. Her artwork has been pictured in leading publications in the field, exhibited throughout the world, and represented in numerous private and public collections, including the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian. She founded the Southeast Fibers Educators Association and was a three-time recipient of artist fellowships from the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources.
